Alicia is a children’s book author, educational freelance writer, and first grade teacher in Washington, DC. She loves writing stories that are punny, humorous and food-based (because who doesn’t love FOOD!?), as well as stories that supplement social-emotional learning, reading, writing, and music literacy.

Alicia is an active member of SCBWI, Julie Hedlund’s 12x12 Picture Book Challenge and a past participant of NaNoWriMo and Storyteller Academy.
